COVID Plan

virus-4937553_1920.jpg

Our commitment is to ensure the safety of everyone who chooses to attend a Quesnel Pride Society event. This means upholding our virtual code of conduct and following our COVID Safety Plan.  All of our in-person events are contingent on provincial health orders and the results of ongoing community consultation.

We are very excited for people to attend our events in whatever capacity they feel the safest. We will be diligently monitoring the Provincial Health Guidelines as we head into Step 3 of the BC Restart plan and will update this page as things progress.

Our Decision

Provincial Health Guidelines

Quesnel Pride Society has been continually monitoring the provincial health guidelines to ensure we can create a safe event experience for all who attend. During the decision making progress we:

  • Followed the recommendations and rules put in place by the Provincial Government

  • Watched the daily positive case statistics

  • Considered the comfort and safety of our Board and Volunteers

  • Listened to those who are being disproportionately affected by the effects of the pandemic

Pride Parade

While the current Provincial Health Recommendations have lifted the mask mandate, feel free to wear your mask if you feel more comfortable.  We also encourage some distancing as well - depending on your comfort level.

In-Person Events

Safety has always been one of our top priorities at Quesnel Pride Society Events and this year is no different. We are hosting multiple in-person events so you can choose the ones that suit you and your bubble the most. Before attending our in-person events such as Pride Parade or our Pride BBQs, please take the time to carefully review the following safety protocols we’ve implemented to keep everybody safe.

  • Limited capacity: A maximum of number of guests will be permitted to attend per time slot. Detailed capacity information will be released as events are announced.

  • Tickets and Registration: To book your tickets, please visit https://www.quesnelpride.ca/events.

  • Masks: The mask mandate has lifted, but you are free to continue wearing a mask.

  • Sanitization: Sanitizer stations will be placed throughout the event site.

  • Physical distancing between pods: Physical distancing will be encouraged where possible. Please respect others need for distance.

What is expected of our attendees?

  • Do not hassle others if they feel more comfortable in continuing to wear a mask. You know nothing of their health situation, and they may feel more comfortable protecting themselves with a mask.
