Youth
In 2021 we started a pilot program of affordable counselling for youth. This was successful, and the decision was made to make this a permanent program (funding permitting).

Counselling services are available on a first-come, first-served basis. Counselling spaces are limited. And depending on the number of youth who apply, there may be a wait list.

The goal of this program is:
-
To ensure LGBTQ+ youth and young adults have access to counselling in our community.

HOW TO APPLY:
-
Contact JC Herrett Consulting directly (778-638-0525, or contact@jcherrettconsulting.com) and ask to participate in the LGBTQ+ Counselling Program.
-
The Office Manager will go through a short list of questions (all confidential - the Pride Society has NO access to WHO participates, or WHAT is said)
-
Space permitting, you will be booked with a counsellor.

Ideally, each youth wishing to access services will have at least one session every other week. Initially, more sessions may be permitted at the discretion of the counsellor.
If there is a wait list, sessions may be limited to a total of six so that other youths have access too. At the end of your sessions, you can call again to be added to the wait list.
